Saha's 54 off 40 in the opening partnership with Sudharsan set the foundation for GT's massive total. The experienced wicket-keeper batter played his role to perfection — giving Sudharsan the strike while scoring freely himself.
Shubman Gill's Cameo
Shubman Gill's quickfire 39 off 20 balls accelerated GT's innings in the middle overs. His 129-run opening partnership with Sudharsan in the IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 at this very ground had already shown what this batting pair was capable of — and they delivered again on the biggest stage.
CSK's Chase Falls Short
Chennai Super Kings needed 215 to win — a steep target at Narendra Modi Stadium. Devon Conway gave them hope with 47 off 28, and Shivam Dube contributed 32 off 21 in a middle-order cameo. But GT's bowling attack, led by Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan, kept taking wickets at crucial moments to seal a comfortable victory.
